Panthers terrify us.

Because both are "organizations".And as no Blacks can join the KKK organization,so too no Whites can join as a member of the black panther organization.Thereby one can deduce the obvious conclusion that both are institutions whom rely heavily on Race..one representing of white race, the other representing of black race. Also black panthers like to shout "black power" with a fist raised in defiance of the government and white society,at the similar token the KKK like to shout "white power" in defiance of many government rules and black society in general. There are differences, but one cannot dispute the similarities and it is these similarities which are responsible for the some what of an equation to be perceived.Hope this answers ur Q?

Because they tend to be racist too. I can't say as I blame them, but the reason for the Black Panthers has ceased to exist - they may not realize it, but a lot of their goals have been met. There is still racism in American, but those people are the minority, not the majority.

There was a scene in the movie about Jimi Hendrix where he was asked to join the Black Panther party and he refused. Jimi Hendrix was a uniter, not a divider. My level of respect for Jimi Hendrix went way up in that moment.

Alot of people(not just whiet)equate the Black panthers with the K.K.K. because their belief system is equally as closeminded and hateful as the opposing organization.
