Warm, moist air.
It is not harmful unless you overheat synthetic clothing (which can then outgas some toxins). I would suggest keeping the temperature as low as possible, and minimizing the use of fabric softeners, as they will really end up in the air you breathe if you vent the dryer indoors.

You get moist warm air, with the lint that the filter didn't catch. It's hard to see, but after some time the whole room picks up a coating of grey dust.
