I would be absoluely amazed if this were to happen. Perhaps GWB would be considered a visionary if that were to happen, however democracy is losing it's luster in many parts of the world, such as Russia, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Bolivia, and a few other country's both in S.America and around the globe.
Democracy works well in country's that have responsible government, and law. In lawless country's such as those listed above, where despots are allowed to grab power, it will always be a problem to have good government.

The christian conservatives who voted for president Bush realize that will never happen in the Middle East. The Bible says it. As for Visionaries there are some people in history who stand out as a negative force that some people believed at that time were visionaries!

Funny, there are no true Democracy's, and neither are we! We are a Representative Republic!
Bush doesn't care about democracy's! Bush cares about oil!
The US didn't care about Iran's elected government, who the CIA helped overthrow by carrying out terrorist attacks and blaming them on the ELECTED government who was not pro US oil company! So we put in a PRO US OIL person! The Shaw of Iran!
Bush is no visionary! He is so dumb he didn't listen to his father who told the US that two reasons he didn't go to Baghdad was he had no exit plan AND he would start a civil war. Another was he would have few allies and he did not have UN authorization!
George has no exit plan and he DID start a civil war!
Where have all our allies gone? Home for the most part!

Lebanon is a Democracy and look how Fuckedd that country is. You can't artificially install a democracy into a country and think that it's going to work. I do not understand how the conservative thought process works. Do we need to go over this again? The general population of a dictated country needs to stand up pull together and fight for their democracy, otherwise it does not mean anything to them.

If I'm still alive 30 years from now, I'll be very happy. He's definitely a visionary, it just remains to be seen if he succeeds in making his vision a reality. I hope he does.
