Like a lot of people have said already , my favourite is THE BREAKFAST CLUB ...
i think because it reminded me of my own high school days and how there were different groups of people that held their own perspectives of what others were like ..
AND how those perspectives were often based on our own standards and how those perspectives can be wrong....
I bought the DVD a few weeks ago and i watched it with my 14 year old daughter and after the movie i asked her if she could identify the characters in the film with her own peers ..
You still have your nerdy Brian's and your jock like Andrew's. Tough guys like Bender and princesses like Claire ( AND THE OTHER CHARACTERS)
You can watch that film and identify with all the adolescent emotions you travelled through yourself.
I also loved short circuit, Drop dead Fred and of course THE LIFE OF BRIAN.

I liked the Poltergeist movies. It is too bad that Heather O'Rouke, the girl who played Carol Anne, died for real just before the third movie was finished.
