I had termites in my last house and i had mud tracks inside. Today i found something that looked like those mud tracks only bigger in the cement in my brick work outside my house. I have seen no trace of termites anywhere else in or out of the house. When i scrapped the tracks 1 bug flew out and i saw a couple of maggots there too. Is there any other bugs or pests that do this as i only moved in here a few months ago and i had a building inspection before hand. As we've just moved here we're pretty hard up and are really hoping it's not termites again. The house is almost 4 years old.

Not really sure about where you live but you could be describing a mud daubers nest.

A mud dauber looks a lot like a wasp except it is black, it builds nests that look like mud tunnels.

In these mud tunnels it lays it's eggs also provides food for the eggs by stunning spiders and such.

A mud dauber, if that is what it is, is pretty harmless. It gets it's nickname from being seen in mud puddles daubing to gather the mud to make it's nest.

Not knowing where you live (I am in the northeast Long Island NY) the sandy soil here is prime for termites. Termites are the only thing that I am aware of that build mud tunnels.
