compressed files have to be decpmpressed first. if you have windows xp/2000/me they can decompress many files via a simple procedure - just right click on the compressed file u will get a drop dpwn menu. select extract all and confirm next to start and voila it will display your file ready for install. if you have an ealier windows like 98 or if the file is compressed in a different version like a .rar and no windows can handle it you will need a 3rd party zip program. i recommend the free 7-zip a simple very user friendly prog - it handles many versions of compressed files. it's link and tutorial is below. once finished don't forget to delete the install files if u don't need them again so they don't clutter your pc.

You need Winzip or WinRar to uncompressed them first. After the process is done you can click on the installation file, usually the file will have the extension exe, to start the installation.

Place the file on your desktop uncompress it by opening it then in the left hand column click extract all files. Hope this helps, brodster
