they may be. But do you really believe that they are the ones behind this terrorist problem? Don't you think they just want emmys and pulitzers and they like all the paparazzis are after it for their own personal gain like wolves to the smell of blood? Aren't they easily led to spread all this garbage? Who do you depend on for the truth in the media today? Give me a place to view please?
If you know of any that are telling it like it is I would appreciate your candor.

Ha ha ha ha I thank you all for a good laugh I am not trying to offend the media, or do I feel they are not doing good out there. They are doing well, i just know the administration controls a lot of the media, look what Bush did to Bill Maher? He threatened him and got him fired for speaking against him, but Maher got a better gig out of it and now is an HBO regular. Bigger and better things sometimes come from bad. Ha ha. Now my references to this is this very site I am just giving a little rebuttal to all the accusations made against the media, and you all have answered well except for a good media source that you watch? I would appreciate that if you will, and thanks for the good humor in your answers I find this highly amusing on all levels.

Sorry my friend, but you could be searching for an answer that you may never find.

Think of Marilyn Monroe's death and when it comes to protecting someone or someones of importance, the less the public will know.

I don't think it's possible for people to present information without bias, knowingly or unknowingly. Our opinions and ideas and goals direct the words we choose, the facts we choose to convey or not convey, and the focus of the information. We can try to present unbiased truth, but our ideas will affect the content in some way.
I don't think much of the media is intentionally biased. People who claim that the "liberal media" is trying to brainwash the public--or the other way around, though you hear a lot more whining about the "liberal media"-- are naive conspiracy theorists.
I agree with some of what you have to say, there. Even if political bias gets into the media, that's not what drives reporters. News stations want ratings, so they sensationalize. Newspapers and news magazines want sales, so they sensationalize.
The drive is usually for money and fame, not political agendas.

Wow... the right says its the "liberal media", and now you say its the media that is the tool of the right wing. Its interesting that everybody seems to be making a "whipping boy" of the media - I guess the "kill the messenger" mentality is alive and well. If you really want the truth the only way to get it is to let history tell you. If you don't believe anything that the media tells you, then I feel sorry for you. They may not tell the whole story, but I assure you as someone from a former newspaper family, its not the media to blame - its those that would attempt to hide the truth FROM the media.

Mark Halperin said, 70 percent of ABC News is liberal. It's -- it just is slanted because that's the way everybody thinks. You want affirmative action? How about putting some conservatives in the newsrooms?

Our best source in a long time is Al Jazeera. http://english.aljazeera.net/NR/exeres/55ABE840-AC30-41D2-BDC9-06BBE2A36665.htm
All other news sources are mostly bogus and entertainment news with little substance, including the BBC.

No offense to you, but the war is a serious problem, and the media is specially trained to find out what they can, all they are concerned about is getting the story. I find it offensive that we have soldiers in Iraq dieing for us, and your saying that we use the media as a tool. Yes, it may be, but i wouldn't dare say its the fuel of the fire.
