ur periods are not as bad as some make them out to be. i used to feel exactly like u before i got my period so no worries, thats natural. its a sign of being grown up. the only painful part of periods are cramps and those are easily dealt with by taking asprin. i dont regret having mine, im actually kind of releived that it wasnt as bad i heard. good luck! :D

Well the adults are right, you should enjoy the time you have now, not only without your period but with the things you do have. Your friends family, ect... Life is about living in the now, that is the time you can do something in. You can plan for the future but you have to try everyday to get there. Enjoy the now for the now.
I remember thinking I would be more grown up when my period came, I think that is why you are wanting it, don't grow up to fast. And be careful to listen to much to people who have negative things to say, your body is different than any ones, your periods may not make you miss a beat in life, some women are lucky enough to have ones like that.

Some people have some discomfort on the first day, and regular drugstore pain medications help a lot. Other than that, they're just a minor nuisance. At the same time, you know your body is healthy and the hormones are working right. Women that are underweight, physically stressed, or unhealthy tend to not have periods. So, be glad.

I never wanted to get it. I thought it sounded terrible. When I was a kid, adults told me that I would get it when I was about 13 so I believed them. I got mine right after my 11th birthday and I was so pissed off. I thought I'd have more time. I only had one other friend that had already gotten hers so I pretended I didn't have it and I didn't tell anyone except for my mom. I was embarrassed. It was annoying but thankfully, I didn't start having PMS, cramps or stomach aches until I was a little older (about 16). I do wish that I had gotten it when I was older because life was a little easier without it. Now, I'm so used to it that it doesn't bother me anymore. I can barely remember life without it.

Yes. Since I was 8 years old, my mother kept asking me and forcing me to wear training bras. I hated her questioning me on that, and I really hated the bras. The bras I can understand now because I'm big chested and need them for support. She hated tampons and refused to buy them for me when I finally did get it at the age of 11. She asked because most women in her family got it at ages 7-9. Adults are right, enjoy it while it lasts. Because once it starts, you have a few decades of expecting to either wear a diaper or a plug for about a week every month.
