It is a mystery to me too.
I've never had sex with a dead body but I've slept with my ex-wife and that is the same thing.
I don't comprehend the attraction.

You can't kill a dead body. Necrophilia is the word you are looking for. It is covered in abnormal psych classes. The reasons behind why someone might do this are many. Fear, anxiety, hatred, love (sick yes), etc. The person who prefers the dead over the living would certainly be in control of the situation and not have to worry about rejection. I don't think many animals have sex with other dead animals. I think humans have that market cornered. Plus, we are animals, only with brains that work much harder at leading us in bizarre directions.

.... its the ultimate control. To be able to manipulate another person (who is dead) to do whatever you want. Ted Bundy (serial killer) for instance, says that the buzz came from manipulating and controlling a body; without the skills that social interactions require.
We are essentially animals, but I don't know of any animal group that does this kind of thing - I think it is more of an abnormal human trait. Animals tend to just behave to survive, and I can't see any survival traits from raping and having sex with dead bodies. Killing, on the other hand, can serve to aid survival, at a basic level.

I often wonder the same thing.I've come to believe that I can know nothing for 100% certaint.Sometimes I feel that deep down there are alot of skeletons in closets,and that for every murderer,rapist,child killer etc.who commits an act;gets caught and imprisoned,there are thousands more of us;perhaps millions, who secretly harbor desire to act out such behaviors yet we don't ,not because we would'nt like too,or are morally better,but because we have just a little more controll,or a little less oppertunity.

Basically the abnormalities in their brains either come from genetic disorders or a serise of traumatizing and mind-altering events. As far as the specifics, nobody knows, that's why there's no cure for crazy.

Why? Because we are animals, and because we are not superior over any other creature. In fact, we are inferior to hem, as we have polluted the earth with our waste, used up its resources for fuel, and much more. Every person can rape, kill, and have sex with the departed, it's just that not all of us choose to do so. How? It's because we were made that way; there's no other answer.

We are evolved from animals and its normal to have an animal instincts. Loneliness, angry, solitude, etc., get used to it.
