im about 4 weeks pregnant and i think i got a flu. i didnt get a chance to see my doctor yet so for now im trying to kill my sore throat with robitussin cough drops. is it safe though? thanks for your help!

when i was pregnet i got a cold and the doctor gave me a list of meds. i could take you can take plain robitussin ( not the ons with mixed syptoms) just plain robitussin but im not sure about the drops i dont think it will hurt but if your that worried you can call your clinic and ask a nurse you dont have to ask the doctor (please dont take anything in high doses and mix any meds. while being pregnet) noname ether forgot to say (dont) or is very stupid and mean

cough drops are fine, but i wouldn't risk it with the syrup. ask your dr when you are able to see him, what he can perscribe you.... and i hope your flu gets better!
