I'm 39 weeks pregnant and I probably should have asked this before, I know when babies are infants your not supposed to have blanket, pillows, toys or anything really in there crib but I was wondering about sheets. We are using a pack'n play for our baby and the sheet we have is a tad too big, it still loose even if it is tucked in, so I was wondering should we use the sheet at all?!
The padding on in the pack'n play is soft if that makes any difference. I just want to make sure my child is safe.

If the sheet doesnot fit snuggly don't use it. It's fine to use a pack & play w/out the sheet. You can get sheets specifically for a pack & play pretty cheap if you want to cover the mattress.

i understand where you're coming from. i had the same problem and just left the sheet off. she's a year old now and there are no stains on the pack n play mattress. she slept in there for a few months. but honestly when your baby is newborn up to about a month or two old the baby is probably not going to move enough to cause a problem. i just was a nervous mom and didn't want to take that risk. i couldn't see the benefit of the sheet since the pack n play mattress is already padded and covered. you can use some spray on cleaner that's safe for baby if the baby should spit up. good luck.

and i did have the actual pack n play sheet from toy r us and it still was too big after washing. i'm not sure why they don't fit right but they don't seem to, or at least not on my model.

Hmmm... i in my opinion theory all crib sheets were outfitted?! I actual have in effortless words used outfitted crib sheets in our son's crib. they're going to recommend that you do not cover your toddler with any blankets for the first 12 months in any case, and at the same time as they do finally end up after a 12 months with a blanket...i'm fantastically confident that your toddler received't lay in mattress less than sheets! he will finally end up rolling in each single position, so that you'll in simple terms want to placed a mild blanket on correct that you do not ought to tuck in like usual sheets. So i ought to assert in simple terms outfitted crib sheets! 4 is a good quantity.

I would buy a sheet made for your pack and play! I wouldn't use one that doesn't fit. Babies (even newborns) can wiggle around in their sleep and move the sheet around. Good luck! :)

i wouldn't risk it. or you can go out to walmart and buy a pack and play sheet (they only cost about 5.50 for a pack of 2) that fits perfectly! other than that, i wouldn't use a sheet if it is too big... you don't want anything happening to that lil guy/girl! good luck to you!
