people are saying being emo is stupid not saying i am emo but wouldn't people saying that be stereotypes just for the fact that they are judging other people?

well, yes. ironically. but people who are insecure judge other people to see how they measure up. people who are "emo" supposedly dress and act a certain way....i don't know. i think what's dumb is that we not only label people, but that we treat them based on the label.

emo can only be stupid in the eyes of the beholder, its not some phase where people cut themselves or be "depressed" ive seen preps do that does this mean they are emo, no it does not its just a sterotype like a jock, skater, goth, prep, etc. but is it fair to call them emo? no its not and emo is short for emotional meaning they express themselves through their clothing and music, music is about expressions i dont see you making fun of country it has the same lyrics as emo music and its only "cool" to make fun of emo kids because they are different when in reality they are probably alot "cooler" then you they know what life is and reality and its sad to see someone get made fun of for what they believe in and feel just like our forfathers came to america to escape those i have pity on your poor souls that do theese things may God bless your soul

Emos are hot!!! Emo comes from emotional... They care about the feelings of the people they love, but they are not stupid and they don't hurt themselves.

yes and idiots for saying that. i believe being emo IS stupid (not saying all emo ppl are stupid), but ive never met a true emo just rockers who ppl at my school call emo and it pisses me off cuz they dont cut themselves, or act depressed all the time or anythin like that. people are just scared of people that are different then them so they make fun of them to make themselves feel better.

First of all, most "emos" have never experienced "true pain". Most of their little white cracker problems are about girls dumping them, their cereal being soggy, and the like. If they want to know pain, they should go live in a third world country.
