How do I do saponification just with oil and sodium hydroxide?
And what's sodium hydroxide? I heard that it's lye but what is lye?
And what apparatus do i need? What are the procedures?

Best thing to do- go find a "how to make lye soap" book somewhere. Tallow is traditional...
But add the lye to the water (use a heat resistant container- this is exothermic!) until a feather dipped in will melt. Add chosen lipid while stiring. Saponification will occur.
Lye is caustic and should be used with caution.

Whatever class you are in, I am so sorry, my friend. I would suggest looking on Wikipedia, or doing a Google search, as taboo as both of those are.
