Where can I find a list of historian on a certain topic?

Does anybody know where I can go online to find a list of historians that have written about certain topics. For instance the effects of communism?

Look for authors at the end of articles that you find when you look on line for your topic. When do you want to know the effects. Where are these effects purportedly taking place. etc. What are the points of view you wish to explore. Historians have them. Do you want a McCarthy 1950 "Red Menace" sort or a Marxist or a Trotskyite, or a Maoist. Economic, educational, scientific, religious. You've got some refining to do.
