Modelling is certainly a white collar job. Unfortunately the male chavunists make it a flesh trade. If women photographers and designers develop in large numbers then the stigma attached to modelling will disappear. Till such time it will force the aspirants into flesh trade only.

Modeling has always been a flesh trade and is most certainly not white collar. It is a spin off of the entertainment industry.

modelling is a white collor job from out side and a flesh trade from inside. My wife got selected for a home appliances ad recently (she is a amature model) and after the screen test the director openly said she need to bed with him and two thers. She refused and lost that project.

i would say that modelling is definitely a white collar job.
whether or not it is a "flesh trade" is a matter of opinion.
some might say yes.
however, compared to prostitution or pornography, it is not as much of a flesh trade.
