My BABY DIED :(
My white persain cat of 13 years died. His name is/was Tom. I miss Him so much . I'm just sick about it.....I can't sleep,eat...I just cry.
I miss my Tom so much, It feels like someone took a knife and stabed me in the heart. I WANT HIM BACK SO BAD!
I was so hard. We were driving home and I had him in my lap. He went into a seizere and then he licked me, I told him I loved him and he took his last breath. :(
I feel like I didn't everything I could have to keep him alive
So if you have a cat get it checked for it.
2 vets said there was nothing we could do. They wanted to put him to sleep. I wanted him to be with me though. They said he was fine and had 20 or more years to live if he DIDN'T have F.I.T. I don't know what it does.
Why did god have to take my baby away from me. He was everything to me.
How Do I go on without him?
I feel Iike he would hate me if I got another pet.

He was a jealous cat. Why did god take him from me? I need him so much. I had a kidney transplant and he was half the reason for me to get better.

sorry for your loss. i know its hard. it sounds like there wasn't anything you could do, and it sounds like he had an extremely peaceful and happy death. dieing in the arms of his owner, with you talking to him nicely, is the best way he could have gone.
you can get another pet, don't feel bad. he might have wanted you to have another cat to talk to!
when i was younger and my Bunnie died, i talked to her at night. i don't usually anymore, but it helped in the first couple of years that she died!

Do you mean F.I.V.... feline leukemia? Had your cat not been vaccinated for that.. are there any other cats that your cat may have come in contact with? If so, you need to let the owners know. If was feline leukemia, your cat caught that from another cat.
It's hard at first... but in time you will be able to think about your cat and feel peaceful and happy about him and the times you two shared and what you each meant to eachother. It certainly is too soon to get another pet... you are not open to another cat right now because you only want yours back. When you are more at peace with this, then you find another cat to create new memories with and this cat will always have your old memories.
BTW, I have lost pets before and the one that hit me the hardest was my Samoyed dog. The groomers had dropped her and it broke some of her bones and a few years later paralysis set in and she couldn't move so the doctor's had to put her to sleep because she was in so much pain. I had just moved out so I wasn't with her near the end and I felt soo guilty and it was a week before my 18th birthday. I ran to the vet.'s office to say goodbye as soon as I was told and when I walked into the room I told something to the receptionist and my dog heard me and picked up her head to look at me and the woman said that was the first time she had moved since she was there.. and I just sat next to her on the floor and put one of my bracelets on her and the vet. told me what would happen during the process and I couldn't handle it so I ran out of the room before he did anything and I felt guilty about that too... I should not have left her alone no matter how much of an emotional wreck I was. You were there til the end, take some comfort in that.
Whatever your name is down below.. I was not being critical of her... it was just for future reference and since the letters were not written in exact and some of the symptoms that she had written of last week, I wasn't sure which she was talking about and my husband works in that field so I asked him if she meant feline leukemia or something else and he said could be F.I.V. or feline leukemia, NOT MEANING THAT THEY ARE THE SAME THING. I was trying to advise her in case she herself had any other cats or anyone around her. I only spent a short paragraph on that.. and the rest was to console her. So get the whole story before you go spouting off.

I know it is really bad when that happens, I used to have a kitten named Tiggy he was a runt from a litter. He died from broken bones and paralization when he got attacked by dogs, he was doing so well untell then, I kept telling him I was sorry and didnt mean for it to happened. I felt so bad and all his little brothers and sisters kept trying to play with him. I felt bad for days but I kept thinking he would want that he would want me and everyone to keep going. It would be hard to move along with it, but remember what you and Tom shared , if it dosent seem right to get another cat than wait because nothing could replace Tom but another cat be another friend in time. Maybe Tom and Tiggy could be friends in kitty heaven.

My beautiful Cocker Spaniel Ben died on Christmas eve. I got him as a rescue dog after my life long friend Skipper a Red Setter died of old age.
I could not bring myself to replace Skipper with another Red Setter because quite simply no other Setter could hold a candle to him.
I decided I wanted his name to live on, so to this end I thought what better way than to give another dog the chance of a fantastic life that Skipper had.
I am very deeply upset about Ben and my heart goes out to you losing your Tom. But personally I have decided that there are now two names that must live on so I will find another dog to care for, one that's going to think its dropped into heaven here on earth because he is going to be rescued by me.
Please think about another cat, rescued , bought or given and give it the wonderful home you gave your Tom

2007, FIV is Feline Immuno-Deficiency Virus, which causes AIDS in cats, and not feline leukaemia, which is caused by FeLV. Yes, you can vaccinate for FeLV, as long as the cat has tested negative for the disease, but there is no effective vaccine for FIV, just as their isn't for HIV. Please get your facts straight before criticizing someone who is already suffering.
Very, very sorry for the loss of Tom. RIP. He would not hate you if you got another pet, but your saying so makes it very clear that you aren't yet ready to make this step, which is not at all surprising. You need to go through your period of grieving; with time the ache will become less, and someday you will wake up and realise that it's time to go and offer another beautiful kitty a happy and loving home.

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I know it is very hard, and their will always be part of you missingnow he has gone. I personally am not a religious person, but I believe that when animals die, they go to rainbow bridge. They run free here and have everything they need, food water in constant supply. then when youleave, they look over the water and run towards you. you meet forever, and can never be split. you may think this is sad but i think it is nice.

aww I'm so sorry.....i feel your pain its been a year now since i lost my dog and he was a big part of our family, honey you will never be able to replace tom but it is OK to get another cat. i don't think he will be upset with you, i feel that the dog i have now was sent to me by tanner the one i lost, because of how painfull it was when he was gone i think he sent me lacey to love. so don't shut your self out to the idea of getting another cat because it might be tom trying to give it too you because he is not there in physical form for you to love but he is there in spirit

Sorry about your beloved cat.
Think about this though, he would consider it a tribute to how much you loved him if you did get another cat. It means you loved him so much that you wanted to keep experiencing that feeling. He wouldnt hate you at all.

Bless your heart, get another kitten as soon as possible. The shelters have them cheap and you would be saving a life.
