I ask because I believe all news is embellished with some twist to favor government. It's all fear and terror and it is targeted at US. It is designed to create dependence on "something else" to protect and care for us. It is designed to scare the hell out of you.

The media is terrorizing us with twisted lies. To me, that is TERRORISM. What do you think?

Without being specific, I will say that not only are they not helping, but they are doing damage and they seem to be all too aware of it. Just my opinion based on my own observations as to how things have changed in my lifetime.

YES!! I definately do!

I live in a military town - we have an Army and an Air Force base - and the overwhelming majority of soldiers I've talked to have told me our media LIES to us. They only show what they want us to know, and they want us to fail in Iraq.

Look at how many photographs printed by Reuters and the AP have been proven to be false. Why are we giving these people a pass on this? Where is our outrage? It's pretty sad when you try to educate yourself on world events, but you're really just being fed propaganda that matches each journalists point of view. Since the overwhelmng majority of journalists claim to be liberals, that's the only point of view we get.

An AP reporter wrote a total hack job on a local trapper I know. It was so amazingly slanted and biased, I told the trapper that even I was almost pissed at him by the time I finished the story. And the hack job was over a LEGAL wolf kill. This "unbiased" reporter also recently wrote a story about my community - where she doesn't live - and agan, it was so twisted, I just had to laugh.

What the hell are we going to do about it?

No Doc they are not the terrorists, they are wolves. And the news reporter that got his head sawed off on television, God Bless his soul, and his family, he was not a terrorist at all. But those field reporters are a lot different than the ones sitting on their duffs here and there reporting the news with their slants for they can get an emmy or a pulitzer prize or a raise, an anchor spot. Yes they are selfish and nosey, but it goes with the territory. Turn it off tune them out, read between the lines. And realize once and for all believe nothing you hear and half what you read and research for yourself unless you don't care, then turn the page, to the comics.

We have the same problem here in the UK. I believe the media are responsible for a lot of the problems that exist today. Without their interference much of what happens (between people, countries and religious groups) would be forgotten the next day, but the media use falsehoods to create stories where none really exist.

"In November 2004, a UN panel described terrorism as any act: intended to cause death or serious bodily harm to civilians or non-combatants with the purpose of intimidating a population or compelling a government or an international organization to do or abstain from doing any act."-wikipedia
the media is always somewhat biased but honestly in the US they dont lie that much, not about such a topic anyways, and they're not the ones blowing up the WTC's or blowing themselves up in the middle of civilian areas. They may contribute to the fear, but aren't the real cause of the fear.

i've got self assurance 9/11 exchange right into a terrorist attack by utilising the U. S. government. Our government has an prolonged history of merchandising and committing terrorism yet people ignore approximately that history and act as though our government is an harmless angel by way of fact the media tells them to not even think of such ideas. by way of fact i'm prepared to correctly known information and history, it makes me a Un-American loon who spits in the lives of people who died on 9/11 and it makes me a conspiracy theorist. however the actual certainty is that anybody who believes the governments valid tale of 9/11 is spitting in the face of people who died, are the actual Un-individuals and that they are those living in actual lifestyles conspiracy by way of fact they are so stress-fed and programmed by utilising the media it is marvelous. the government has unlawfully killed individuals before, unlawfully detained individuals, unlawfully spied on individuals, the government has shown it is able to many dark issues yet people ignore approximately it.
