People of different cultures raise their children differently. It's more about what their culture and background are than what their skin color is that determines how people raise their kids.

In culture, yes. But just like every race some parents let their kids do whatever they want while others can be too strict. Every culture has traditions. However, most Mexican-Americans, African-Americans, Chinese-Americans and so forth have become very Americanised. They learn English as their first and only language, study about American history only, and traditions are starting to fade away. The good thing is that there's more of a cultural exchange, people are learning about new religions and trying new things until they find themselves more.

I'm Mexican-American and my parents are too. 2 of my grandparents are too, and 2 are not. My parents raised us to learn only how to speak English so we wouldn't get confused. They raised us as others would call "Americanised". The only bit of Mexican my siblings and I have in us is our genes. None of us are into the Mexican culture and none of us care to visit Mexico either. Why? Because we live in America, and because it's not safe to travel there. For a long time I got called a "Wannabe White" by my own race for not being a stereotypical Mexicana because I want to go to college and better my life and I also stay away from trouble. Go figure...;-D

So, if you ask me "Do you see a difference in yourself versus any other American in terms of being raised & how you plan to raise your children?", the answer is "Most definitely 'no'".

Yes, but the biggest difference is not race but how good the family is. If the parents are always fighting, split up etc. It seems these days that Asians are doing the best , blacks the worst.
Asian culture teaches humbleness and respect and hard work while black culture is mostly out of control.

Definitely, But it has to do with their culture not race, the Spanish and Afro Americans share some things in common and that is the way they discipline, they are very strict, the Hispanics have something in common with blacks in that they are not a pure race they are mixed with African slaves thou most do not like to admit it. So far Asians have done a better job in raising their children, hence few Asian in jail. Specially of Chinese or Japanese descent.
