I have been going to the web site for a computer program called Daz. (If you google Daz you'll know what I mean) I love the pic. But i have never made any. Does anyone know if it is worth the money and time to learn and do. I'm a writter and can't draw but i like to see my chariters on paper. So is it a good idea to do. And also is it hard to learn and use?

DAZ Studio is an ok product but I prefer Poser. I have Poser 6 but they recently released Poser 7 which is suppoed to have a lot of new features that I really wish I had in Poser 6. DAZ is harder (in my opinion to learn while Poser is fairly easy once you play around and read through guides/tutorials. However, DAZ Studio is available as a free download. Poser 6 will probably cost you about $100 and Poser 7 will cost you about $200. There are other 3D programs out there as well that I have not used. If you have no experience with 3D graphics I would recommend Poser over DAZ but as far as content goes DAZ is #1. Their models are probably the most widely used in the world! Victoria 3.0 (V3) has more clothes and characters than any other model as well as Michael 3.0 (M3). DAZ just released Vitoria 4.0 (V4) so she does not have as many options yet but you can bet there will be just as many before long. V3 and M3 bases can be downloaded for free usually and can be used in poser. Also, no matter what program you choose sign up for the Platinum Club (PC) through DAZ! This gives you freebies upon joining, monthly $5.00 vouchers, and access to probably 75% of the sites content at the $1.99 rates. They also offer frequent sales to PC members which are usually huge discounts or massive bundles at clearance prices. A lot of other authors are using these products to illustrate their own works. You shoud be able to find lots of support in learning and resources in member formus. Another good place to buy content (not as good of deals but still not too badly priced) is http://www.renderosity.com lots of DAZ/Poser users post their ameteur works to the galleries there and the have lots of freebies!!!
