you learn that the people you looked up to-adults, heroes, everybody-has flaws. you learn that people can't protect you forever because they're not perfect either, and this leads you to seeing flaws in yourself.

You have to deal with more responsibility, you have to earn your own income and pay for everything you need, you have to find out how everything works in the system (insurances, taxes etc.) and since you need to work full time to earn a living you have less time to do things you enjoy and hang out with friends. Also your friends (and maybe you) are starting their own families or pursuing demanding careers and that changes a lot.
This is what comes to mind. Then of course there is the annoying process when you're becoming an adult where you are expected to behave like an adult and be responsible, but people still treat you like a child.

Behaving and acting like one!
Age has nothing to do with it.
I know 15 year old people that are more mature than some 30 year olds. Plus I know a 40 year old that is so inmature other adults won't have anything to do with him. Yes he is considered "normal" what ever that means?

Depends to a certain point on where you live , but staying out of prison is a good one --and this is a serious reply.

Basically it comes down to having more responsibility. Also, you have to earn your own money, and you are held accountable for things you might not have when you were a teenager.
