The best dog in the world is a pit bull and German Shepard mix.he was the best dog, brave. fearless.smart.highly trained. loved to please.never would bite. but warned people not to do something if they were up to something he knew bad people instinctively.my brother offered me a 1000 dollars for him. of course I declined the offer. I had another mix like that after he died. and he was a great dog.also.that mix is the best for many reasons. great around children protective but wont bite unless they have to.. there good bear dogs also.if trained to be that way.I have raised and trained dogs for half a century.and this mix is the best, dog.the second pick of best type dog is pure breed German Shepard.the worst dog and the stupidest is an Irish setter.dogs represent and reflect the owner, if your mean the dog will be mean. if your ok the dog will be ok.you treat the dog like hes the best dog in the world. he will be.

I have both a Springer and a Basset, both are purebreds. As much as I love Otie the basset, he is a load of work and can't be off a chain or he will run. My springer Leo, is so mild mannered and loyal and faithful, I would get another one of him in a split second.
