Can anyone tell me if Chrysler Neon 2002 has an Engine Timming Belt or it has a Timming Chain instead?
I need to know this since I am not sure if I have to replace the timmimg belt after 70,000 Miles if it has one?

Factory recommends 102K mile or prior. They do have a belt.

While you are in there, replace the water pump as well. No point in replacing a timing belt, to have to go back and remove it to replace the water pump before the next timing belt is due.

Yes your Neon has a timing belt and yes you need to replace it as instructed by your manual. While you're there you may as well replace the water pump. It's not an expensive part and will save you money in the long run.

It has a belt. It should tell in the owner's manual when to change it.
