No one except religious fundamentalists and bigots. It only hurts their pride though.

The bureaucrats that run the politics in this country- they are too many lobbyists for the insurance industries who do not want gay marriage approved across the nation. Do realize the millions of dollars in insurance claims for medical insurance that would be authorized if their union were considered legal? As usual, the almighty dollar is the issue--- marriage, by definition is the union of two people-- doesn't state man and woman----I guess our government just changed it to suit themselves.
And to the idiotic narrow-minded imbeciles that believe that two people of the same sex and mess up a child more than two of the opposite sex, they are really sick... and need counseling, and by the way, I bet they have parents that are the traditional man/woman and I guess they didn't do as good as a job as THEY think they did.

I have no idea. As for the children, it would make things harder for them, but maybe not if they live in a gay community. There is no way to stop all of the hate even if it hurts innocent people. You can't let that control your life, though. If I were gay, I would live however I wanted to, and live, work, & have a life wherever I felt comfortable, just like I do now.

Only people who insist on butting their noses into other people's businesses. As far as children, gay couples can raise a happy, functional child just as a heterosexual couple. Personally, I don't understand why gay marriages are banned. It's a union between to people. It really should be a matter for each individual church to decide, not the astate.

I'm not a lesbian or anything but I think if someone is happy in a gay marriage, then let them be. The person just found a life partner like any of us straight people.

it's a good question...
IMHO, it's not hurting anyone... if not granting "marriage" at least grant recognition of civil unions for benefits sake.
If anything we learn that marriage is promoted as a religious holy union, but as a society it is the focal point of our economy. Without the unions our economy would suffer... it's not about sex on sex, it's about MONEY AND POWER... I don't see the holiness MONEY AND POWER has created in our country at the moment...
i really wish more people would stop wasting precious energy with their bigotry...

Nobody is harmed by it, you just have those that feel they have the right to judge and their judging is based on their own beliefs. They forget that not only are they allowed their beliefs but so is every other individual on the face of the earth. If we would mind our own selves, we'd get along better, there would be peace and everyone would be a much better individual!

what does the divorce rate you mention have to do with gay marriage?
anyways, to answer your question I think the guy that plays the role of the woman in the marriage is the one that gets harmed the most.

There are people who are disturbed by it and don't like it, but it doesn't actually harm anybody.
It is stupid not to legalize gay marriage.
