I just got my tongue pierced today and it's red around the piercing. I don't know what I should do. I tried taking it off earlier tonight but it was too tight. What is the best way for me to take it off?

if you take it out, you may not get it back in. Gargle some peroxide. the swelling will go down and it will be fine. In the next day or so, go to the piercing shop and let them take a look to see what they say. If tomorrow you see or think that its infected, then unscrew to bottom piece asap and gargle peroxide.

what ever you do do not listen to the idiot that said to gargle peroxide unless u want to make a trip to the er
take a paper towel and dry off your tounge that should make it easier to grip the top ball and twist it off
but you shouldnt take it out i mean thats a waste of a good piercing
you should suck on ice cubes or pop cicles when i got my tounge pierced i kept a bowl filled with ice by me so my tounge didnt have a chance to swell

If u take it out it will close the hole, and fast. i wouldnt advise taking it out unless u wanna get it pierced again. But if its getting unusaly large and ubstructing ur breathing possibly go to a hospital. The will usually be swelling, prolly shoudnt worry about it.

It's maybe geographical tongue!
It is simply a description of the appearance of the surface of the tongue - with areas where bits look kind of 'bald' - it might be caused by infection, allergy, injury, spice, hot foods - all kinds of things.

most unscrew from the top or the bottom ball-it may be on there tighter than usual since you just got it done-u could go back to the person who did it and have them take it out

You aren't suppose to take it out soon after you get it pierced. You should wait a couple of days i think.

Go to the doctor, have him take it out for you.
Next time don't get the inside of your body pierced.

you just need to unscrew either on the top or the bottom. try wearing gloves that grip
