I live right on the border with PA. People from PA are coming across the border to patronize restaurants and bars in OH more now.
People from all over rural western PA have always come to my town to shop. It's the closest major shopping in the region. The next closest place would be the Pittsburgh suburbs. Everyone still comes to shop, and now more and more of them are staying to eat too. Maybe now some of our restaurants will stay open. The stores have always done well, but restaurants were constantly opening and closing before. It seemed that there would be a different restaurant open in a location every time I looked. I'm betting that will change. Restaurant parking lots are impossibly full until closing now.

Smoking ban will affect the business in an area because the activities of smokers will be limited since they will shy away from banned areas.

Well, I am not a business owner or operator, but as a customer, I quit eating in the restaurants, several bars have closed, and many people say it's not worth it. Do they have those stupid signs where you are saying "To report an offender call 1-888?"
