He is a lot of bluster, but of limited threat. Our forces are stretched far too thin to act, and it would be completely stupid to try.
Congress passed a law prohibiting assassination. Even if it hadn't, by targeting a foreign head of state, you leave your own head of state vulnerable to the same thing. Bad policy.

I was thinking the same thing but I think those two will be their own undoing, and the U.S. is hoping the same. Ahmadinejad had pictures of himself being burned by Iranian students at a recent rally. Chavez is now trying to get the Venezuelan constitution re-written so he can serve more than 2 terms, and recently refused to renew the license of a TV station that opposed him. Chavez is a despot in training, and Ahmadinejad is probably going to be defeated in an upcoming election. The recent elections in Iran show that his policies are NOT welcome. The Iranian people will kick him out of power, and the Venezuelans will probably get sick of Chavez antics soon enough.

No, that's any incorrect way 'around... the nuclear super ability rogue State to the north is the possibility to his rules of utilising a number of his u . s .'s wealth for the betterment of his human beings, particularly than for US company hobbies. This has continually been the possibility to the U. S.. the corporate media here gets in lock-step with the pro-conflict, professional-conflict message that he's a few form of Communist or Dictator, and use financial war to get somebody in there greater keen to bend over for US needs/needs. If the financial war does not paintings, the U. S. would attempt to rigidity an embargo on the international, with the possibility of alternative US financial sanctions. that's an unstated and for this reason unexamined rule human beings foreign places coverage that no u . s . has the main appropriate to take care of itself from america. ignore relating to the needs human beings investors at your peril. that's Chavez' genuine crime, although you will not see that interior the papers or out of the mouths of those liars we call politicians and statesmen. Fill in Venezuela and Chavez with the different third international u . s . and chief we've invaded or overthrown interior the final 50 years, simply by fact all of them paintings the two besides. same 'crime,' diverse place and time.

You are a very clever person. I believe Castro, Chavez as well as other leaders in S. American are spreading the seed of communism, and that the Middle East will finance terrorist activities against the U.S and their Latin American allies. Think about it they are right behind our back door. At the same time I think a war with our sister countries would be unlikely for a war with them will last only hours. America as a continent is already protected by the U.S. And let me say that the U.S intelligence are well aware of what is going on in Cuba, as well as the other Latin American countries. Do not forget , the intelligence personnel are right among them. The will never know who or where they are. But I need to say that you have your eyes wide open.

Chavez was duly elected president by the people of Venezuela ... he does not present a clear and present danger to the security of America and its people. There is no evidence that he has actively supported anti-American terrorist groups. When and if he does, he knows that he will wind up like Sadam Hussein. He's just a bag of hot air from a third world counry that likes to draw attention to himself spouting off leftist propaganda that the poor peasants eat up.. He knows the limit of tolerance that the USA has and likes to push it to the maximum.

wake up call:
both Chavez and Ahmadinejad were DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED!!
If the US were to "take them down" then it would be the ultimate hypocrite. The US is always spouting off about how it supports freedom and democracy. Well Venezuela and Iran both freely elected their presidents.
It is their business who they elect and how they choose to govern themselves and none of the US's business. The US should NOT go butting into other countries' business. The US should mind its own business and stop starting wars all over the world.

Hugo is a goofball, period. There's no need to waste American lives.... no,... shoe leather to take him out. The only time he starts squalking is when oil prices are falling. He tries to stir up the "OMG, what's that crazy Hugo going to do with the oil" sentiment to send prices back up.
Basically, his head is as secure to his neck as oil is secure to its price. A dip in oil prices for any considerable amount of time will plunge that country into ruin with Hugo Chavez to blame (having destroyed the oil infrastructure). With oil approaching $50 a barrel all we may have to do is wait. The only question is how to get a noose around that fat neck.

Chavez is democratically elected, presides over a stable democracy, and sells the united states 1 billion barrels of crude oil per year.
Don't be a moron.
