Sometimes administrators give teachers assignments they don't like because they want them to leave. Sometimes they give them special assignments because they know they can handle them and another teacher can't.
Which is the case in your situation? Can you guarrantee the same administrators will still be there in two years? At my last school we had four principals in ten years, and even more APs, so promises didn't mean a thing.
There are so many schools and districts who are recruiting good minority teachers I'll be you could easily find a position somewhere you'd be happier. Try to talk to other teachers at the school first, though, especially African American ones, to make sure you're not jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire.
Good luck!

i'm in Louisiana so ha! more suitable backwards than you (a minimum of it truly is not any longer Mississippi). j/ok Walmart does have tofu! (and TVP and so on) Even right here in New Orleans, so i'm making a wager they have it in a bustling city like Houston. it truly is in the produce section in the refrigerated section. around the salad dressings and the pre-sliced carrot sticks and packaged fruit and so on. you'll also locate the Soy cheese and such issues as that excellent there. The Veggie burgers and different Morningstar/Boca products are in the freezer section. now and again with the frozen greens and infrequently with Micro-foodstuff. you'll have too seem for those. My Walmart has even gotten some Amy's soups in those days so it truly is in trouble-free words a remember of time earlier more suitable Veggie products grow to be accessible. lower than is a link itemizing the finished meals Markets in Houston, Tx.

Who makes the teaching schedule in your school? I would make it very clear to that person what you would like to teach for next year. Hopefully you will know your schedule for next year before this school year is over. If you don't like it, you can always look for another position at the end of the year.

Move to "Big D" or Fort Worth ISD...or their surrounding suburbs.
No offense, but it sounds like they're trying to get rid of you. Do yourself a favor--finish out the remainder of the school year and kiss that small town goodbye!
Or you could wait another couple of years, but nothing is guaranteed.

If you have a talent that is in demand elsewhere and you feel as though a change would do you good, then go for it. But be forewarned; the business admin. of the education profession will be similar regardless of any destination. But with eyes wide open, adventure and challenge appeal to young professionals, and with good cause. Search & find where you are needed/wanted/appreciated. Good luck.

Go for the place that will pay you the best money, has the best schools and the best neighborhoods. Move to Dallas, Atlanta or somewhere else.
