Please! Don't panic!
Your IM is just as vulnerable to spam as your email.
There's just no reason to bother spamming IM given how a relatively small percentage of the email population has IM.
Unless it's targeted to you (ie, personal details) in which case you could send it to your local police or to PervertedJustice.com to see if they want to make anything out of it.
No details? It's probably just spam. Throw it out.
