In women, the symptoms are completely different than from men. Men do have the heaviness n the chest, pain down their left arm,
shortness of breath & sweating with a pale appearance. Women, on the other hand - we get weak, nauseated, dizzy, disoriented, difficulty breathing sometimes - it comes across more like 'flu symptoms than a heart attack. I lost my mom 11/27/2006 to heart attack & her symptoms were just not definite enough for me to have pointed at her & said "heart attack". Please read up on it - visit the American Heart Association web site or check with the red cross - educate yourself, please.

Pain is Not Always a Symptom of Heart Attack

A heart attack often starts with mild symptoms that may not be painful. Many victims experience a tightness or squeezing sensation in the chest. Get emergency medical help immediately If you experience any of the following symptoms for two minutes or more:

Pressure, fullness, squeezing or pain in the center of the chest.

Pain spreading to the shoulders, neck or arms.

Severe pain, sudden weakness, dizziness, fainting, sweating, nausea or shortness of breath.

For those with angina, any change in the frequency, duration or intensity of the attacks, or symptoms that don't respond to nitroglycerin.

They say it's different for everyone.......some people dont even have pain, just a symptom like heart burn. But for most people there is a heavy pressure/pain on the chest (very heavy), numbness and tingling down the left arm and hand, numbness in the neck and shoulders, shortness of breath and very very bad sweating. If you are experiencing what you think is a heart attack please call 911 and while you are waiting on them take 2 adult strength aspirins (tha will thin the blood making it easier to pass through ur arteries) and make urself cough every few seconds, that also will "force" blood through ur arteries. Please call 911 if you think you need to. God bless.

The pain is quite distinct. It is described as: "a heavy, strangulating, suffocating experience-far more intense than anything like indigestion, chest wall injuries, pleurisy or spasms of the esophagus that you are familiar with. The pain may seem to start under the breastbone, on the left side of the chest, and sometimes radiates out to other places: throat, neck, jaw, left shoulder and arm and, occasionally, on to the right side.

Michael Jackson did no longer have a heart attack. He experienced Cardiac Arrest and docs could no longer revive him. heart attack isn't an same element as Cardiac Arrest. The post-mortem will start up the following day to make sure why he went into Cardiac Arrest.

Your left arm will hurt and you have pain. Sick on your stomach feel like you are going to throw up. If you are female. Heavy feeling and pain. Go lay on your left side with your arm out and see if you feel better. You could also have heartburn or gas. Try eating a tums to see it the feeling goes away. Might just be gas.

have you ever had indigestion, a real bad case of it....well that's what a heart attack feels like except for the numbness feeling in the left arm.

the same nerve that controls your heart also is responsible for severe indigestion.
