i ask because i'm in college and made a mistake when i was 18 what carer have laws saying a person with a felony may not enter that career

you got that right, a felonies can not hold a big position in the country or under any Constitution. But what you can do if you want to be a social worker, yo need to apply for for internship, or work in the community in order that the charges may dropped after successful completion. I am also in the criminal justice system and want to be a defense attorney. Well take car now and I hope you find a way to resolved you question.

You will have a hard time finding any employment when the company you are interviewing with finds out that you are a felon. The question about being convicted of being a felon is on every employment application I have ever filled out.

Honestly...its hard. However, if you get a good atorney he can try to get you ARD which would take it off your record. If that is to late (you already have it on) wait a year or two and hire an atorney, they can try to get the court to have it expunged if there is a good reason and you stay clean
