No Gatorade doesn't hydrate you... I learned this when pregnant. It has a lot of sodium in it, gatorade is meant for after a work out to get electolytes back into you . Water is best, you don't want your blood pressure to go up cause that's bad. Water Water Water....This will hydrate you best. Put some fresh lemon in it if you dont' like the tase of water.

It's been too long ago since I've been pregnant to remember the reason he suggested it. But, my doctor at one time said that I should drink Gatorberry. I said, what is gatorberry? It was gatorade and cranberry juice. It tasted really good too. I don't think it's a problem drinking gatorade if you're pregnant.

I had to go to the hospital for my second pregnancy because I was dehydrated. I know pregnant women should be drinking water ... but I couldn't even keep water down during morning sickness for my first two kids!!!!!

I sipped Gatorade and it was one of the only things I could keep down. If you are having problems keeping water down, Gatorade is a Blessing!

It's perfectly okay, but keep in mind that gatorade does has salt in it.. so don't go overboard (too much salt causes excess amniotic fluid and also causes swelling for you).

Water is the best thing for you and definately for the baby. A pregnant woman should drink like 64 fl oz. a day.

I did a lot of flavored water (mainly Propel) to help get the water down :)

Instead of gatorade I would just drink plenty of water. Water will flush out any toxins in your body and prevent yeast infections and such. You could also drink milk, friut juices, and vegie juices. Try to stay away from sugar and caffiene. Make sure you spread your fluid intake throughout the day. Don't try to drink more than two 8 oz. glasses in one sitting. This could dilute your blood excessively, causing a chemical imbalance.

There's no harm in drinking gatorade, but if ever in doubt drink plain water. That will always hydrate you. Don't feel like you are stupid. There are no stupid questions, especially when you have your baby's best interest at heart.

gatorade is fine but i will go a head and tell you make sure you also drink plenty of milk being pregnant your body and the baby needs lots of calcium if you dont drink enough then the baby some how can take the calcuim from you body which could lead to problems with your teeth and bones. drink what you can of and fluid to keep you hydrated but dont forget to drink some milk also.

Yes, it is okay to have gatorade. It is better to have water but gatorade is fine. It beats being dehydrated and being in the hospital.

It is perfectly fine. You might try propel fitness water as well if you are having trouble drinking water, but you just don't want things like soda or anything like that because it usually doesn't help with the dehydration. Hope this helps.
