Can I put it into a washing machine and what about drying in a dryer?

You'll ruin it if you do. Take it to a dry cleaners.They are the experts and can do a good job for you.

First I would read the care label, if there is one.

You can wash the pillow in cold water on the gentle cycle.

Do not put the pillow in the dryer, roll the pillow inside a towel to squeeze out excess water and let air dry.

Using a washing machine strips the down of its natural oils. Have it dry cleaned, or if you dislike all of the chemicals involved with drycleaning find an eco-drycleaner.

I remember that my mother always took the feathers out of the case, laundered it and then put the feathers back into the case & restitched it. I think that the down feathers will ball up and be ruined.

Read the tag but I think NOt! Atleast it is not that easy! Feathers WILL come out. I know I have 4 of them!
