Your thoughts on Hugo Chaves and Mahmoud Ahmadinejads latest comments?

Hugo Chavez refused to renew the license of a TV station that was in opposition to him and is now seeking to change the Venezuelan constitution so that when his term is up he can run for president again. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has said that the Holocaust never occurred. Iranian students BURNED pictures of him at a recent rally where he appeared, and the recent elections in Iran soundly defeated his kind of politicians. I wonder when the Venezuelans will realize that Chavez is a power-hungry dictator-in-training. There is an old saying when it comes to guys like these: "Consider the source". They are both eventually going to be exposed to the world as nut cases. This is one time when I - a moderate - am in 100% agreement with the conservatives.

Well combined with other remarks from Chavez regarding his plans for nationalization of industry and elimination of private property, I'd say we've got a Saddam of south America to deal with.

There are also reports that Chavez has training bases established where middle easterners are being trained to speak Spanish and pass themselves off as Mexicans.

Given the porrous nature of the southern border of the U.S. I'd say we've got a serious problem to deal with.

Some say the Saudi's have increased their oil output to undermine both Chavez and Iran buy reducing the price of crude. Makes getting Iraq up and running smoothly and at top speed a higher priority than would otherwise be the case.

If we can make Iraq run smoothly and keep the crude prices down, Chavez and the Iranian may be dealt with by their own people. Otherwise we need to recognize them both as a clear and present danger to the safety of American civilian population and deal with them accordingly.

if americans can't tell someone from the mideast from mexicans, they have issues. the reduction in production is no big deal. OPEC was asked a while back to temporarily boost production. a return to normal levels is not a crisis.

Iran must stop its nuclear arms program in order not to add to the present crop of countries with nuclear weapons which is a menace to the existence of the world.
