Violation rules are meant to keep the community civil and orderly. Like the one against cloning other participants.

Most of the time, a violation never happened. It's usualy just some jerk that submited a false report. They don't actualy look at the questions or answers; they just remove it without question.

Wow! Your thumbs up to thumbs down ratio is 0:20. That has to be a new record.

Many times the answers you give aren't really against any rules, if a person doesn't like your remark, they can flag it for a violation and that's usually how we get the notice. Some people just can't take the truth and they flag you for abuse just to be mean.

where did you get that idea? I have been violated many times for no apparent reason. Just because someone feels like being rude. Looks like most people here have had the same experience.

Because all it takes for a "violation" is for a person to hit the little flag and report it. It is all handled by a computer. For example, I'm about to make your question a violation. Get it now? Isn't that fair and fun?

I get violations for things that aren't violations...that is my problem. Everything reported is removed. It's never reviewed by a person.

sometimes you don't have to even commit a true violation to get one..and besides i don't complain about it, i just accept it as part of the game

The Violations are often for the most inocuous things, and quite unneccessary.
There are people on this site who just roam around and click the 'report abuse' button, because they've got nothing better to do.
They are t*ossers.

Nice nose:

I was violated for asking:

Where does the beach end and the seabed begin?

So I feel empathy to those who complain.

Some violations are just plain stupid!
Some people just hunt you and report you.
