I recently bought the Braun silk epil xelle 5580 and have used it on my bikini area, underarms and legs. It is painful but the hair has not grown back along bikini line yet! and the hair that has grown back on my underarms is so thin it's hardly noticable. I would say go for it, just do exfoliate the area regularly afterwards to prevent and ingrowing hairs (ouch, and not attractive). Enjoy X

Epilate Bikini Area

I recently bought an epilator to use on my bikini area and boy does it hurt. If you can withstand the horrible pain its worth it because it does get the hair out at the root so it grows slower. I suggest cleaning the area and if you can pull the skin tight when you move the epilator over the hair it does help to ease some pain. I also find waxing to be a good method as well. Good luck.

These tools pull the hair out by the roots, it might cause a bit of redness, and might cause some rashy red bumbs, But it's worth it if it works for you, hun.

Good Luck and Enjoy your new Epilator.

Waxing

while the hair grows in much slower, if you are prone to ingrown hairs you will run into a problem. i still use it anyways so it depends on your preferences. just make sure to hold the skin taught or it will suck it in and cut you. also, a desensitizing spray with lidocaine or benzocaine makes it more tolerable.

Nope.

It's not a shaver. It's like many tweezers pulling out your hairs at once.

Why not get it waxed instead?
