Yes you can! You would put it on just like on the wall, however you would want to polyurethene the piece afterwards or use Mod Podge to protect it.

YEs, but it isnt going to look that good, unless the furniture is flat, withoug lots of detail to get covered up by the wallpaper

NOT a good idea! The slightest bit of moisture will ruin it. And it doesn't wear well. That's why they make the stuff called contact paper. It works much better, and is resistant to wet. If you had to use wallpaper use white glue. Good luck!
