what if I am comfortable thinking inside My own little box? It is my box and you can't come in. Right now I am pretending it is a racecar.

Is not my "box" outside of everyone else's "box" or all we all just cramed in the same "box"?

If everyone is thinking outside the box is it really original?

The saying "think outside the box" or "think outside of the square, that you live in", is just a saying that artist use. It means to think beyond the norm and deep into your imagination. When they say the box or square, it does not really mean a box or square, but a room with 4 walls, and the artist is sitting in that room, thinking about his/her artwork.

So the answer to your question is that the box or square is symbolic for the room that the artist work in.

This saying is an abstract concept.

I hope this helps.

I prefer "Think outside yourself" because some people have a hard time figuring out what the "box" means. But I like the idea behind this saying. What it's telling you is to be non biased and think outside of what you usually would think. We all know everyone has boundaries so it's saying "Think outside those boundaries".

To answer your latest comment-That just makes you ignorant. We must think big to achieve big...to grow..to learn and educate ourselves.
