get a firewall and remove the usb drive you don't need it for being in the hacker clubs.

Im guessing that you are referring to your USB ports on your computer. If that is correct, here is one thing you can do.

First off you need to have an Administrator account and a Guest account. The Administrator will be your account that you will have God like permissions. Then you will turn on the guest account and leave that logged in for people to use.

Now when you are logged in as Administrator go to START--> SETTINGS---> CONTROL PANEL

Then go to "System"
Now choose "hardware"
and click on "device settings"

From here you can enable and dissable your USB ports.
look for "Universal Serial Bus Controller"
and then look for "USB Root Hub"
there may be quite a few entries which will equal the amount of USB ports that you have.

Now right click and choose "properties"
At the very bottom, you will see a drop down menu where you can disable the device. Just dissable the device when you have your computer out there for people to use. And the fact that they are on a "Guest" account will not allow them to get into your hardware settings to enable the device.

Hope that helps,

Peace

that's the point of cybercafe - to come to surf, download and copy.

you may want to restrict some shared folders over network (check out your folder properties and uncheck sharing).

disabling the usb ports (uninstall the usb drivers which come with windows - if you're on windows) is an option to consider but people will get mad.

use winrar to encrypt and password protect certain files which are so precious.

I don't think if there is a way to prevent people from using your USB ports to copy files, except disabling the USB ports.
