Foot drop is a medical sign for the nerve not working, the muscle not working or an anatomical problem. I would guess your's is due to the nerve. Peripheral nerves do regrow so since you've had surgery to relieve the pressure on your sacral nerve, give it time and attend the physical therapy and you'll see improvements.

Yes you definitely need to be seeing a neurologist they can tell which which tests would benefit you most. It could maybe be nerve damage from the tumor or the tumor coming back, or it could be a number of other problems. Only a neurologist or a neurosurgeon can help you. As for now stay calm and be careful when walking or on the stairs. Stay safe and get better!
