I'm only really procrastinate for school work. I get everything turned in on time and get good grades, but I procrastinate a lot. I stay up late or wake up really early to do work or study. I can fucntion pretty well with about six hours of sleep, but I'm getting tired of this habit. I also have free periods, so I usually do work that is due that day during them. Sometimes I even have to do work during lunch, so I miss out on hanging out with friends and just taking a break from school work. I don't think my procrastination will lead to me becoming disfunctional or anything because I am good about letting not get to the point where it messes everything up. My question is, how do I help minimize my procrastination?

I have this same problem. Fortunately I've still managed to make A's all through high school and university, but procrastination certainly hasn't helped!
It may be that you have trouble focusing on tasks at hand. You could try distancing yourself from distractions--going somewhere with no TV, books, internet, friends, etc.--and staying there until you can make yourself do your work. Then, once your work for the day is done, go do something really fun as a reward. I don't know if this tactic will work for you, but it wouldn't hurt to try!
If the problem is really bad, you should consider getting yourself tested for learning disabilities, such as mild ADD.

The payoff you get carry of for procrastinating is maximum probable the explanation why you finally end up repeating the trend. Procrastinators positioned off initiatives till the very final obtainable 2d because of the fact, at that l a s t 2d, there's a burst of power from adrenaline and neurotransmitters released in keeping with the severe rigidity the recommendations is under. Procrastinators get a organic severe, a organic euphoria, with tips from waiting till there is not greater time to watch for polishing off the job, if he/she desires to be triumphant. Many procrastinators are commonplace for asserting, "I do my ultimate artwork under stress." it relatively is surely no longer the actuality, notwithstanding it justifies the waiting as a worth reason. the undeniable fact which you're feeling so drained and might particularly no longer do the artwork precise away is yet another element. while you're drained each and all the time, it must be which you unknowingly watch for the frenzy on the final minute in view which you choose a enhance out of the common on a daily basis fatigue. i've got discovered the confusing way that early and stable guidance surely prevents the on a daily basis fatigue to a pair quantity....i'm getting a "2d wind," a clean burst of power because of the fact i'm tackling something it relatively is confusing and that i understand i will triumph over the job. Now THAT brings an invaluable feeling....and it is plenty greater efficient than the final-minute under pressure-out power carry and next power crash. (ok, Saccade, be spectacular!) Consistency is what your physique desires, what your recommendations desires, and what you as somebody ought to discover escape from the ubiquitous psychological fatigue.

Hard as it is to do, you need to look at each day as being your last. Maybe that would work for you...
