Do ya get like lots of little ingredients to actually splice, dice and cook the meal or do it like I do and get microwaveable quick fixes?

What is your fave dish you prepare or microwaveable food you just heat for like a couple minutes?

Somewhere in between. I don't get frozen microwavable meals because they are too expensive, you don't really get a lot of food and I end up eating all of them in one day. If I buy frozen food, it's usually stuff like a big bag of tortellini or lots of manicotti which can last a long time and I can add my own sauce to it. I mainly go to the grocery store to pick up the same few things every week, just simple things that I snack on like pickles, bread and cheese, olives, tofu and fresh veggies. I don't really cook that often. Once and awhile I go and buy lots of ingredients if I have a particular meal in mind, like homemade chile (my current favorite dish) and I'll make a large amount and eat it all week long.

I cook three times a day if not more. I'm more if a meat, potatoes type of cooker. I always have a roasts in a crock pot. There is always something cooking. I have to cook for many males so I cook lots of meat. Then bread or roll and few veggies. I get more microwaveable foods for snacks and breakfast foods.

Cook my meals with fresh or canned veggies, herbs, & spices. I'm cooking alot of Chinese dishes lately 3-4 times a week. Also love making chili, lasanga, & birds { Turkey, Chicken, & the occasional Duck.} I wont go near micro-meals.

For me its like half and half. I like to make a meal from scratch, but there are times when nothing beats a hot,
quick meal from the microwave!

My mother wants me to learn recipes that are passed down in the family, so I gotta get little ingredients to cook a meal.

Oh god no. I like to make my meals. I'm not knocking the "minute" meals. But coming from a big family. Those box meals just aren't enough.
