My guess is these things that you have a terrible time remembering are things you are not very interested in. You need to take an interest in certain things and see if you have the same problem....I bet not. Sounds to me like you are a day dreamer too. If you are that's not such a bad thing as day dreamers tend to be creative. Try and find something that interests you in the arts, see if your memory improves with something you like, photography, painting, etc. If not, then I would bring this to the attention of my doctor.

We all learn in different ways. I had once this social studies teacher who'd always drive around a whole cart of stuff for that reason: she would say, some of us listen, some have to read at the same time, or see, or some have to actually touch to figure out how to learn!
So, try to figure out the best way you can remember things!
Also, while in class, no matter how boring, if you try your very best to listen AND participate, raise your hand, ask questions, again and again, if necessary, eventually, it will register, and guess what, that will help you remember things. Be strict with yourself for just a while, and it'll come to you...memory is just a matter of practice and routine, just like so many other things!!!!

If there is no medical reason for this problem, you can train yourself to have a better operating short-term memory. I have seen several books on that subject. Check a couple out of the library. When you find the one that helps, buy your own copy.
You need to ask about Attention Deficit Disorder, as well. There are strategies to minimize that, too.

Sounds like you're overloaded with stress, anxiety, or too many goings on in your life. Try to figure out what is bothering you, other than your forgetfulness, and then go from there. You shouldn't be having memory loss at age 14!

I used to have a friend that couldnt remember anything, and she went to the doctor about it, ran some tests, and found a small scar tissue in her head that made it difficult for her to allow memory keeping. Just go to the doctor and figure out your problem.

I feel you with that and unfortunately it happens with age. I often find myself forgetting what I got up for or going to grocery store and not remembering every item. I have also found that repetition helps, i.e. repeating things in head before moving on to next.

I go through the same thing, hun. I sometimes can't remember what events took place yesterday, and I deffinately can't tell you what I was doing 5 year ago.
Try taking Gingko Biloba and see if that improves memory.
