I think that your question is ill thought out and somewhat irreverant. It's not God who causes the trouble, its mankind. We are too selfish and destructive* Even your question itself has a curse word in it. Why curse? You could have asked the same question without the profanity. Yet you choose to use a term that might offend and upset some people, adding to the pain of the world and reinforcing the very situation that seems to, indeed, make you seem so unhappy, and, might I even venture, lost.
If I could just quote you some scripture .....*

Actually, the trouble in our world is not the responsability of any Divine being, much less God/Goddess, but the responsability of human greed and laziness. God/Goddess is already answering all your questions, and suggesting the solution, especially regarding the wars and the pollution, what do you think the storms and weather change are about? Mend your ways humanity! The Divine is not a cop out, blame mechnism. Blame is a human concept, a very weak one at that!

Speaking from my personal beliefs, Hindus believe that God has reincarnated as one of us several times, to fix the damage that we have caused and to set us back on the right path. So I guess in a sense, if one were to believe that school of thought, God created things and set things in motion but we keep the system sustained by our own actions. We can work together and make everything thrive, or fight and see everything fall apart. Hindus hold that God has come several times when things were at breaking point to eliminate evil and restablish righteousness, and the sort.
I guess, if God was one of us, I would probably ask why He wasn't among us all the time so that there would be no problems.

The idea behind the rhetorical question: "What if God was one of us?" is, that we should think of how God would react to OUR own misbehavior if s/he it was its subject. What if the next person you swear at or cheat was actually God? Considering that, perhaps you or anyone would change the way they conduct themselves.
Perhaps we don't need to worry about this possibility - now - but what about when we are judged (if you believe in all that).
As to your secondary comments, who knows if God (if s/he, it exists) thinks of things as good and bad, as we do? Perhaps God thinks humans deserve all the crap they are going through because we haven't cared for his/her/its creation like we should have.
Overall, perhaps the total of "God's domain" is running peacefully. Do you think that your day has gone bad when you unknowingly step on an ant colony? No, because it's too small a thing to notice or worry about. The ants, on the other hand, are devastated! Maybe they too curse God for their lousy day.
In the end, life IS trouble, God doesn't cause it or stop it. Humans need to take responsibility for their own acts. God's too busy laughing.

According to the bible bashers on the streets of the city centre near where I live, He is.
Anyway, God hasn't caused all the trouble, He doesn't control the minds of everyone in this world, how could He? Once you set something free, you are not able to control it's actions anymore, therefore, we've made our own problems.

I have a better question for someone claiming to be "God":
"Do you really expect me to believe that the being you call 'God' would take the form of an ugly ape on a totally insignificant planet in a backwater solar system, in a smaller than average galaxy, in a miniscule galactic cluster in the universe?"

GOD didn't cause any problems on earth, we have are on free will. It's stupid people that cause all the problems of the world. Society has to start living with morals, and further more if you think your GOD[you have rocks in your head] you really hit a nerve!!!!

First, you should not blame god for the mess people cause, he made us free and it was our desicion to make the world as it is now, and I bet that if he had not made us free we'd be complaining about that so stop being like that and be responsible for your own acts

Yes! He is responsible, but when you have children who will not listen to reason what can you do?
It's a bit like having a rebellious teenager who thinks they know it all, sometimes they have to learn the hard way and all you can do is watch in silent sorrow...
If you rant and rave you only push them away.

Maybe if God was one of us and you asked that question, he will use his power to make you the ugliest devil on hell... LOL :-)
Seriously, we can't question God, coz God is unexplainable and unfathomable.
Maybe he'll answer you with " Even the falling of a leaf has its own reason"...
