I have gone to public school my entire life and have nothing to complain about. Boarding school os good only if you have a lot of mony to spend on it, don't mind wearing a uniform until you graduate and can stand to be away from homw for the entire duration of the year. It is good practice for college that I can say because it helps you to let go of your parents much easier when you graduate, but you will also not share much in parents life if you do that, even if it seems like a good thing at time, no one else will have you mother's hugs when things get rough. Not that friends aren't good and you will build lasting friendships by living with other people in such close compartments for such a long time.
This is a big decision though and you chould ask your parents what they think and how they feel on the subject also.

I did my whole school education in a Catholic Boarding School, way back in 1941. I was 18 months. But experiencing that situation I believe public school could be better. Also, boarding school seems to leave a permanent hitch on your life. I would never think of sending my children to boarding school. It is very expensive too. Good luck.

This isn't a question of public vs. boarding. The answer depends on the specific schools. Some public schools are fabulous and some boards schools are horrible. Talk to your parents and discuss the pros and cons of both.

please i grow up in public school. It's not that bad and you make more friends which helps becoming popular which is a good thing. So go for it.
