Superman. He is the most powerful being on the planet. He doesn't need any gadgets or darkness to be effective, he can just bust through the wall and take care of the bad guys.
Batman is so paranoid about everybody it is a fault. He also relies too much on his gadgets, car, and the night. He is not effective in the daytime because then people would realize he is just a man and they would not be afraid of him. He might be smart, but all the brains in the world would be able to stop a mountain from falling on you.

For sheer control I'd say Superman.
He has the power of a god and yet he serves us. That takes control, how many of us can resist taking a smoke, or raiding the fridge and here is Superman trying to fit in with beings no more substantial to him than soap bubbles.
