A gun lying on a table will not kill a person unless a person picks it up and fires it.
A pencil lying on a table will not misspell any words unless a person picks it up and misspells with it.
Thus we can deduce that guns do not kill people- people kill people.
Pencils do not misspell words, people do.
Do you spell poorly when using a keyboard? And do you then blame the keyboard?

What's a pencil? :-)

Wouldn't it be nice if no one knew what guns were?

Guns are mechanical mechanisms for hurling small pieces of lead outwards from their barrel at high speed. They most often do this only when their trigger is pulled by a human being. Otherwise, they just sit there peacefully.

However, those people who think guns can kill people without people being directly responsible, might also think that your pencil (whatever that is) is to blame when you misspell a word.

The real danger lies in the fact that your pencil can draw a gun! But can it fire it too? - or does it still need a person for that?

Sure, why not...maybe your pencil is of the wrong # and when you write it is hard to read your writing, so it looks like we need a cryptologist to read the writing because you used the wrong #. So, yes, I supposed the misspelled word might be the pencils fault. Guns do sometimes go off accidentally.

Well using the same scenario, which would be better - removing the gun to avoid the killing or the person? Same with the pencil to avoid mis-spelled words - remove the person or the pencil to avoid mis-spelled words. Just curious because your question got me thinking - but I agree with many that its the person doing the action.

I don't think guns kill people, they just help...and no you can't cause you're controlling the pencil.. :]]]
Hope This Helps!!...

You can blame on your pencil though, if it will do anything?!?

As far as your logic is concerned; it's obvious that you need to go back to re-education camp. Guns do kill people, but your words are misspelled because of George Bush. That is now the official Party line, and Nancy will be upset if there is any deviation.

Can you kill people with a gun than you could otherwise? What is the purpose of a gun? If there is no purpose why produce them? Would you say that Nuclear weapons don't kill people - people do? Guns empower people to kill others - if there were no guns it would be harder for people to kill so don't say that guns don't kill people it is about as convincing as saying smoking doesn't kill ... and it is a very stupid argument.

As Homer (the poet, no longer the fool) says, "The blade itself incites to violence." this signifies that the mere possession of a weapon makes an additional suitable in all probability to hotel to violent ends. an same could no longer be reported of pencils and spelling, except you hate the sound of pencils as a lot as I do and only favor to end writing with them as expeditiously as achieveable.
