10K doesnt even cover the cost of the casket anymore. Add up the cost ofa funeral and paying off any and all debt you have, I bet it comes near 500K, especially if you have a house. Do you have the same policy on her? Get one. Its smart. As for the Cheerios, why do men put stuff in their mouth that smells or tastes bad? DUh.

Look at the details of the policy and see how long of a time between the times she takes it out and the earliest time you can die! Sometimes you can't die for a year so you can sleep... tonight.

if you hit a landmark birthday recently or there's history of early death in your family and you're getting close to it, I wouldn't be worried, but sheesh, 500,000 is allot, funeral costs only range around at max (I've seen) $12,000 unless you want a plot in outer space.
