Blacks use slavery as a sort of "Get out of Jail Free" card. They can do and say anything they want, but if someone calls them on their behavior, they scream "racist" and bring up slavery.

The black persons who use this shield of slavery are doing more harm to their culture than good. They're using slavery as a crutch, instilling the idea in black society that they can't do anything on their own; they have to have quotas and affirmative actions in place.

It doesn't help that black people really don't have any role models anymore. Nearly every famous black person is either a rapper or an athlete. There are no more great thinkers like Dr King, and black people who dare to question the status quo of current black society are demonized (remember the fallout from Bill Cosby's speech a couple of years ago?). Black people don't have anyone to teach them how to pull themselves out of the ghettos, and if they had a way out of the ghetto, I honestly wonder how many would take it.

Hi Garrett,

Among the African-Americans, they don't still see the justice to their race. It's not so much of slavery anymore, but really to become part of United States. Acceptance is still not equal, they know their voice is so low that no ones hears nor cares about their situations. Will there ever be a black Governor or even President? So far, no!

If you revert back to slavery, people must understand every nationality came to this country by there own will, including the Jews,, God Blessed people. Black people was force to come and was mistreated as well. Once slavery ended, it began another type slave, prejudice. The KKK, White Supremacy, etc...

Why do all of these groups even exist when white people can do a lot in the country than blacks? How can Blacks become a threat when they don't any equalization.

What's even worst now is that others countries are mistreating people of dark skin, Russia is doing it, England also and believe it or not even Japanese are doing it in the Philippines. They had quoted them by saying that they lazy, some are mix with blacks!!

Two year ago the President or owner of Burger King blames African-American as the reason why they loosing money, because they are lazy. In other counties, in their dictionary it describes the word "BLACK" as ******, *****, ugly, lazy etc...

What I've learned from many African-American that they have released the passed, but now they trying to content with the present. Therefore, they ask of today whites Americans for justice. It is so easy to pick on black people, because more than likely they will get away with it.

I used to watch cops on Fox Saturday nights. I couldn't believe how many time when disturbance occurred, the police come to investigate and they blame it on the black (who were never there to began with)

The police then interview the manager. He states "There weren't any black people there at all!" This has happen a lot on that show.

Justice Garrett..they ask for white to please stand up for them. They mostly turn heavenly to God, and God already told the world what is bound to happen.

I just know that I have never enslaved any black person in my life. I also have never known a black person who has been enslaved. That's all I know. If you give me a thumbs down, then you are calling me a liar.

To Nunya B-- So you are going to hold a life-long grudge against white people for things that we didn't do to you? Slavery is wrong. But all those people are dead...the offenders and the victims. Don't you think it's time to move on?

To mystic_tude-- So you were brought here in chains and you are mad about it. Well, now that the chains are off, do you want to go back? Again, yes, slavery is wrong, but we both live in today, lets make the best of it.

Blacks think that they are the only people to have been slaves. In fact, throughout the history of the world, whites have been slaves to others for much longer. Even slaves to blacks. All they want is a free ride, handouts, something for nothing. I do believe that any black person who was a slave should receive compensation. I will be the first one in line to pay anyone who has been a slave in America. Wait a minute...aren't we talking about over 100 years ago? Never mind.

same reason doctors think all their patients owe them for the tens of thousands of dollars they paid to put themselves through med school. lol

Seriously, I suppose they think that slavery put blacks so far behind, that they'll never catch up in terms of social and economic equality. If I could use a crude analogy, it would be like blacks and whites in a 100 yard dash to the finish line, but the whites giving themselves a 60 yard head start. Someone's gotta help the blacks catch up and level the playing field. Affirmative Action was meant to do that. I'll leave it for others to debate whether this tool has accomplished its mission or if there's work left to be done.

Your so right! The slave trade in africa was alive and well for 600+ yrs B4 'whitie' arrived. Worse yet, it still exists on the continent. Waring tribes still capture, keep and sell their captives for slavery. Who's their #1 customers? Middle east (islamic) countries.
Makes me sick but the press dont make issue because it's controled and P.C.

as a black woman i'm going to be honest i do understand why many caucasians feels as why should they be blame for something they had nothing to do with and was well over before their grandparents where even born

but understanding the effects of slavery on the progress of blacks in this country has a lot to do with it. This country owes a lot to slave for its wealth any history class in this country teaches that the early economy of this country was base on slave labor. but expecting the U.S. to pay its black citizens restitution is unrealistic

haha why did u feel u have to include that u were a dr?

I am sorry..I am not a racist person..however, I do discriminate not based on color, but based on actions, and I can say someone who really believes white people should pay up for enslaving blacks over 100 years ago is just challenged for a lack of better words...actually the people who think whites should pay is only egging on that last little bit of racism that lingers. Get over it!!!!!
