Martin Luther King Jr is the only person I can think of for his non-violent protests and the 'line 22' you quoted seems to sum up his movement quite nicely. I would have to say that people who do the kinds of things that Paul Revere did go quite unnoticed these days in a world of fear and bravery. Maybe Bush will be looked upon in the same way in years to come for having the balls to send even more troops to Iraq. It seems like a bad idea but you never know how history will pan out when it is still in the future. I'm not a supporter, but you never know.

Palin was completely right! In the 1790's letter written by Paul Revere he said that his job was not only to warn the American British but also to warn the British that supported the crown that we were going to fight and we had guns to back it up. The knowledge of his pending ride was of course kept secret. When captured he told the British officers He had warned everyone along his route and soon his warnings would bring 500 men with guns to appose them. The warnings passed along further were church bells and gun shots in the air, which indeed happened. The British were after the militia's guns is a fact. Those warned, decimated British forces on their return trip to Boston. So much so they never ventured out of the Boston area again. This has already been backed up by several noted historians in Boston. The left Obama media machine are the ones that don't know their history along with most, unfortunately, public school educated. Her reply to shouted questions was a hurried answer as she was hurrying through a huge crowd and not even a gaff. Yet as far as the 57 states goes the left media never even reported on it. Nor did they report on the United states Marine "Corpse" nor dozens of other gaffs Obama said.

My favorite modern Paul Revere is the one from the Beastie Boys song. You know:

Been had a little horsy named Paul Revere
Just me and my horsy and a quart of beer
Riding across the land - kicking up sand
Sheriff's posse on my tail cause I'm in demand
One lonely Beastie I be
All by myself - without nobody
The sun is beating down on my baseball hat
The air is gettin' hot - the beer is getting flat
Lookin' for a girl - I ran into a guy
His name is M.C.A., I said, "Howdy" - he said, "Hi"

Despite Longfellow's poem. Revere did not make the ride to Concord. He was stopped by the British. It was his companion, William Dawes who got to Concord and gave the warning. Why does everyone celebrate Revere and ignore Dawes?
