Rich and miserable OR poor and happy?

Oh I am already poor and (relatively) happy.
There's no joy in being miserable!
If I was rich, I would set up trust funds to help charities, so I wouldn't be miserable, I would be very happy and proud of my ability to help others.

Since I'm poor and happy I would like to try rich and miserable. Because at least then I could hire a therapist to help me get happy.

Plenty of rich people are miserable. You read about the alcoholism and drug addiction and eating disorders among the rich and famous, each day.
Happiness is fleeting and not a constant state of mind.
You have to want what you already have and not desire what you don't have.
So, I'll take happy. I know I'll never be rich. I will probably get by. I won't take misery, under any circumstances. Been there, etc.

Poor and Happy, Cause if you are happy you are not poor, and if you are miserable you are not rich. :)

well, I could do more with money to make myself happy. and lets say the thing in my life that makes me happy when Im poor goes away or breaks and I dont have enough money to buy it again. or a loved one dies and I dont have enough money to save them. I will go for rich cause as soon as I buy my 40 ft sail boat and villa in malta I would be a pretty happy guy.
